Tundra's Capillary Injection Solution - Artificial Lift in a Slave Point Deviated Well
Field: Dahl Field, British Columbia
Casing: 114.3 mm
Tubing: 60.3 mm
Pre-Capillary Production: 6 E3m3/d
Post Capillary Production: 15 E3m3/d
This deviated Slave Point gas well is open hole completed from 2900 to 3339 mKB and flows up 60.3 mm tubing. The well was experiencing liquid loading problems and due to the remote access of the well, operator intervention was limited which resulted in a lot of downtime. In mid-March, 2010 a capillary string was installed with the injection valve landed at 2900 mKB for continuous artificial lift. The injection rate is set at 2 L/d.
This system is able to continuously remove liquid from wellbore without requiring any operator time and will therefore allow this well to flow more efficiently. The system has also increased the recoverable reserves significantly.
